Booking Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 29 July 2026

These terms govern bookings with Alessandro Romanelli, trading as Slice 'N Vibe ("we", "us", "our") for mobile pizza catering, live DJ sets, pizza masterclasses and related services. By paying a deposit you ("the client") accept these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. Quotes and prices

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless stated otherwise.
  • Pricing is from £15-£18 per head with a minimum spend of £800. Your written quote sets out the total price payable for your event.
  • Travel within our core area (Greater London, Kent and South East Essex) is included. Events further afield may carry a travel charge, which we will always confirm in your written quote before you book.
  • We are not currently VAT-registered, so prices are not subject to VAT. Should this change, we will tell you before you book.

2. Booking and deposit

A booking is confirmed only when you have paid the deposit and we have acknowledged your date in writing. A non-refundable reservation fee (deposit) of 25% of the total secures your date and covers our administration and the opportunity cost of holding the date for you. Dates are allocated on a first-paid basis and cannot be held without a deposit.

3. Balance payment

The balance is due one week before your event. For bookings made within 7 days of the event, the full amount is payable on booking. We will confirm final guest numbers and any add-ons with you before the balance is invoiced. Corporate clients may settle by invoice/purchase order by prior arrangement.

4. Changes to your booking

Tell us about changes to guest numbers, timings or menu as early as possible. Final guest numbers should be confirmed no later than 14 days before the event; increases after that are subject to availability. The minimum spend always applies.

5. Cancellation and postponement by you

Catering supplied for a specific date is exempt from the 14-day "cooling-off" cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, so these terms govern cancellation. Because we turn away other work to hold your date, the following charges apply (a genuine pre-estimate of our loss):

Cancellation charge by notice given before the event
Notice given before the eventCharge
28 days or moreDeposit only (the 25% reservation fee)
14 to 27 days50% of the total booking value
Fewer than 14 days100% of the total booking value

Postponement: if you give 28 days' notice or more, we will transfer your deposit to one alternative date within 12 months, subject to availability, at no extra charge. Later postponements are treated as a cancellation and re-booking.

6. Cancellation by us and events beyond control

If we ever have to cancel for reasons within our control, you will receive a full refund including your deposit. Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control (e.g. severe weather making open-flame cooking unsafe, fire, flood, government restrictions, or serious illness). In those cases we will work with you to reschedule; if that is not possible we will refund sums paid less any costs already and unavoidably incurred on your behalf. We may substitute equipment, menu items or personnel of equivalent standard where necessary.

7. Your venue and access

You are responsible for ensuring that, on the day, we have: suitable vehicle access and parking near the setup point; a firm, level area of at least 3m × 3m; and any permissions required from the venue or landowner. A gas or wood-fired oven can only be operated outdoors or in a well-ventilated covered space, with safe clearance from people, structures and combustible materials. Indoor service is carried out on an electric oven, which we arrange for the booking where the venue permits it, and that requires a mains power supply which you are responsible for providing at the setup point. Outdoors we require no mains power. Where water, or power for an indoor setup, is required we will agree this in advance. We reserve the right to decline to operate where conditions are unsafe; charges in section 5 may then apply.

8. Allergens and dietary requirements

Vegan and vegetarian pizzas are on the menu as standard. We can build a pizza without gluten-containing ingredients on request. The same ovens fire wheat-flour pizzas all night, so we cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination, and it is not suitable for coeliac disease or a severe gluten intolerance. The Margherita and Marinara carry no meat, and we can leave pork off the van entirely on request; tell us your specifics at booking and we will give you an honest, specific answer. We will provide allergen information for the 14 regulated allergens on request. You must tell us about all guest allergies and dietary needs before the event. Our food is prepared in a mobile kitchen using shared equipment and a shared oven, so while we take care to manage cross-contamination we cannot guarantee any dish is completely free from a given allergen. Guests with severe allergies should always check with our team on the day.

9. Music and licensing (DJ bookings)

Where we provide a DJ, the playing of recorded or live music to your guests is a public performance that may require a music licence (PPL PRS "TheMusicLicence"). Responsibility for holding the necessary licence rests with the venue or the client. Please confirm your venue's licence position; for private-land or marquee events you may need a one-off event licence. We are not responsible for licensing arranged by the venue or client.

10. Insurance and liability

We hold public liability insurance and can provide a fire risk assessment on request for venue sign-off. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability arising from a booking is limited to the total price paid for that booking, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. We are not liable for damage or injury caused by guests' own actions, by the venue, or by your failure to disclose an allergy.

11. Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue, are single-use, non-transferable for cash, and may not be combined with other offers. Vouchers purchased online may be cancelled for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided the experience has not yet been booked or redeemed. Each voucher carries a unique reference; lost or copied vouchers cannot be re-issued once redeemed.

12. Complaints

If anything falls short, tell us as soon as possible, ideally on the day so we can put it right. You can reach us at info@sliceandvibe.co.uk or 07796 233274. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 30 days and resolve them fairly.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
